The Story

In late October of 1918, the deadliest maritime disaster along North America’s Pacific Northwest coast occurred. Caught in a blinding snow storm, the Princess Sophia ran aground on Vanderbilt Reef at 2 a.m. where she was grounded for 40 hours before sinking with no survivors.
